Sports Betting Football Tips - Three Great Football Betting Tips to Win More Football Wagers

I've been betting on football for a very long time and I've learned some great sports betting football tips that I'm going to share with you. Betting on football is a process that requires continuing development unless you buy football picks from someone.

Today, I'll share with you three football betting tips to help you win more in your football wagering journey.

Football Betting Tip 1

Don't bet college football games like NFL football games. This is one of the more common mistakes in football. Do it at your own peril.

With college football, you have young men coming into their own. They're at school and under all sorts of influences. NFL football is about professional business men. It's more of a business attitude and to win, you need to bet it a little differently.

Football Betting Tip 2

Make sure your football parlay betting is only a small portion of your overall football wagering. If it's not, you'll eventually become a long run loser, which I know you don't want.

Football parlay bets are a blast, but don't just bet parlay cards. You need a healthy dose of single wagers.

Football Betting Tip 3

Bet the value. It's really simple. When you make football bets, you want to find lines that offer you value. Let's say that the New England Patriots are playing at home against the Atlanta Falcons.

The line is -21. Is this value? Nope. Sure, the Patriots are probably going to win (in our hypothetical NFL game), but 21 is much too high.

It doesn't matter if you know who will win the game. What matters is beating the spread. And what matters more is getting great value for your bets.

Sports Betting - Football Action

The advent of online betting has been a welcome boost to the sports enthusiast who enjoys an occasional flutter. No more traipsing down to the high street bookies to place your bet before the match begins. Just a few clicks from the comfort of your own home and your in amongst the action.

One of the most enjoyable sports betting events is football or soccer as it is also known in some North American countries.

Football betting is not just a matter of selecting the outcome of the game in regards to which team will win, lose or if both teams even draw the game. It has moved on generations since that was the main involvement with football betting.

Nowadays, bets can cover a variety of topics like who'll score first (team or player), when will the first goal be scored, the correct score of the match, half time result, number of goals scored in a match and accumulators where you not only predict the outcome of one match but a number of matches. You can even bet when a team manager will be sacked which is becoming quite popular, unfortunately for the managers.

Some online bookies even offer interactive betting where you can place certain bets even when the match is live. This is a fascinating venture by the bookies and even brings the punter much nearer to the action taking place by participating in this interactivity.

As well as the online betting sites have gained in popularity over the years so have the tips and football guide sites where you can read about ways to help improve your betting activity. Other sites involved in football betting are the ones that offer special deals for signing up to new accounts with the online bookies. These sites offer fantastic promotional deals and if you do some online research you can net yourself some good free money to help you play online.

What about the social aspect of betting? Many people like the trek to the high street bookies as a way of getting out the house and having a chat with like-minded people. Social betting online is huge as well. There are many forums, chat rooms, social networks, dedicated to sports betting especially football where you can clamour amongst all the debate and rumours to your own delight.

Football betting is a great way to become immersed in the game and online betting rubber stamps that interactivity that most betting enthusiasts seek. Remember, always stick to a budget when betting sensibly and with your added knowledge of football betting your bound to make some real money online.

Learn How to Bet Football and Enjoy the Money You Make in it

For every game of football or be it any other game for that matter, there is a favorite team and an underdog. The team most probable to lose according to previous strategies and past records is called the underdog. In order to make the game even for betting purposes, odds-makers come up with a point spread or point line. The spread is the amount of points you have to part with if you bet on the favorite, and the amount you will receive as an underdog.

There is something called a parlay. It is the technical term used by odds-makers to define a bad bet. If only 1 team loses then the entire parlay is lost. Parlays are a very exciting way to win very large amounts of money. But just keep in mind that it only takes one spoiler to ruin your parley! Make sure that the team you bet on has to win the game outright. The odds in this scenario might vary greatly and might depend on which football betting platform you choose.

Propositions are actually exotic bets. They are mostly done for specific events that are straight forward in nature. The team that you wager has to win. There are something called money line wagers. The amount you win or lose may very time to time. The money line that is read at that particular time should not change at any point. A teaser is a selection of two or more teams in one wager in which the points table is in your favor. So whilst selecting the teams make sure you select the best and appropriate teams. With more detailed information about the teams you bet on, the ideas you get while betting on them would be good. It would help during complicated any situation.

How to Bet Football Games - Ways How to Do It!

How to bet football games? Perhaps, this is the first question a beginner player asks in his mind upon deciding to bet on his preferred team. The answer to this question is that there are many ways. Each way has its own defined set of rules that must be followed for the betting game to proceed properly. Anyone who wishes to play the betting game must be aware of such rules to ensure maximization of his winning potentials. To better equip our readers with the basics of football betting , here follows a run-down of the basic terminology used in betting .

A wager is the amount at stake. How to bet football games means always knowing how much the wager is as this determines the proportion of returns of winning bets.

A wager is set by the organizing group facilitating the betting game. Usually, this group can be the site where the player placed his bet online. A wager can be put on a particular team or on a score spread. A score spread is the points a bet team should score higher with a point or more for the bettor to be considered a win. For instance, if the score spread is set at three, the team betted upon should beat the opponent and be ahead of four points or more. If the bet team wins with points just as exactly the indicated score spread, it is considered a 'tie' or 'no action' and the money is re-deposited or returned to the bettor.

If the bet team wins with pints lower than the score spread, it is considered a loss on the part of the bettor. The score spread varies and is again determined by the bet organizers. The term football betting lines pertains to the different ways by which a player could place his bet. One could typically see either a positive (+) or negative (-) sign right after a number indicated in each team. There are two by which to interpret these signs, depending on the betting line chosen.

How to bet football games necessitates knowing the different betting lines involved in the game. These include straight bets, totals or over/under, money line, half time, parlay, teasers, future book wagers, and proposition bets or also called exotics. Straight bets involve the team being waged on to win a point or more than the score spread. The negative (-) sign beside the designated team means such team must win a point or so more than the score spread and if the bet is placed on the other team, that team must win outright or lose by less than the score spread. Totals work the same way as the straight bet only that this time, it involves the combined scores of the two teams. Money line wager involves an outright winning of the team bet on.

The wage is a fixed amount and does not involve points. A negative (-) sign beside the team's name means one is risking such amount for every $100 waged unless indicated otherwise and the positive sign (+) means the wining amount for every $100 wagered. Half time wagers can be a point spread, a money line or mixed but the difference lies on the wage being true only for half-time. This may be the first half or second-half. Parlay is the adding of wins and the bet amount to the new amount at stake.

This line is also called the 'combos' because it combines previous collections to be the next betted amount. Parlays are not allowed in half times because they are the first and second half times are connected as one game. Future book wagers means placing bets for future events. Teasers are a selection of two or more teams. Proposition bets is anything but the under/over type. Usually, these are questions such as who would make the first goal, what will be the score for the first half, etc.
